PLA (Polylactic Acid): Easy to print, low-odor, and beginner-friendly, PLA is great for models and prototypes, but it softens in heat and is less durable.
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol): PETG balances strength, flexibility, and ease of printing, making it a popular choice for durable parts and moisture-resistant prints.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene): Strong and heat-resistant, ABS is used for functional parts, though it can warp, smell, and usually prints best with a heated enclosure.
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane): TPU is a flexible, rubber-like filament used for cases, seals, and soft parts, but it prints more slowly and needs careful settings.
Nylon (Polyamide): Nylon is tough, wear-resistant, and slightly flexible, making it ideal for strong mechanical parts, but it absorbs moisture and needs drying.
ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate): ASA is UV-resistant and weatherproof, so it’s great for outdoor parts, and it prints similarly to ABS with less yellowing.
PC (Polycarbonate): PC is extremely strong and heat-resistant, but it’s harder to print, often requiring high temperatures and excellent bed adhesion.
PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol): PVA is a water-soluble support material used with dual-extrusion printers, making it useful for complex prints with removable supports.
